Quick question re: pale comb

She sure is a pretty girl!
Not sure but 70s doesn't sound very hot for chickens. Mine only start panting when it's over 85°. It's been in the high 90s with 90% humidity (105-115° real feel/heat index) and none of mine have lost color in their combs. They have slowed down on eggs but that's to be expected in this heat.
I hope she gets her color back !

It was 95° earlier when I first noticed her comb. Since the temp dropped, she's gotten some color back. Sorry - my earlier post was unclear.

It's cooled down to the low 90s the last few days since Barry got in the Gulf. Not much relief, but any relief is welcome as opposed to 100°!

What is bleaching? Like Brazilian Bleaching?

But it's been this way here every summer that I can remember.
It gets Mega Hot here in Lower Alabama!

And humid, right? It always reaches the 100s here, but it's so dry. The humidity makes it exponentially worse!

Today it only got up to 89. But with the rain it felt worse than 100. When I was in Palm Desert, CA it would be 110+ everyday but it felt cooler than 85 here. I'll take a dry 110 over a 100% humidity 85° any day! It's so humid that if you are outside more than 30 mins, all of your clothes are sticking to you and soaking wet all the way down to your socks!
