It was 95° earlier when I first noticed her comb. Since the temp dropped, she's gotten some color back. Sorry - my earlier post was unclear.She sure is a pretty girl!
Not sure but 70s doesn't sound very hot for chickens. Mine only start panting when it's over 85°. It's been in the high 90s with 90% humidity (105-115° real feel/heat index) and none of mine have lost color in their combs. They have slowed down on eggs but that's to be expected in this heat.
I hope she gets her color back !
