Quit changing the time.

Sorry, what is "real" time? Time is arbitrary and it is what we say it is. I'm not a morning person and I like the fact that it stays light to 9 pm in the summer. As far as time is concerned, I get up when the sun comes up, run all my auto stuff on DST timers and leave it that way 365 days of the year. If I had my druthers we'd be on DST all year long.

Well, one day later & still everything is not right. Woke up at 5 am to go hunting. Left early to reset timer on feeder. Got to feeder couldn't see very good being dark & all. I set the feeder I thought for 7am . I'm sitting their waiting for it to go off nope,o, nada. Finally, I left went to see what I did wrong yep I set it for PM. I think this time change is my omen. Nothing is going right. How can we get them to leave the time alone. I don't care what time they want to set it for just do it & leave it alone. Please. They can make midnight in the middle of the day just leave it be.

There was an article about how we loose 300hrs of daylight because of time changes and I'm on a small farm I want them back! My chickens now have to go to bed at 4pm.

I agree, why don't they leave time alone. They try to manipulate to suit their needs. They change time here weeks later so the halloweeners won't be out in the dark. Gee maybe some time they will make it so it stays light longer on election days or whatever. The days change all by themselves but it is a gradual shortening or lengthening. It doesn't need any help. When they jump a hour ahead or an hour back it is so darn disruptive. Make them stop.

I like blaming Obama for all the world's ills as much as the next guy but this may be straining credulity.

Us, too...5:30, breakfast-time! Come on, silly humans, get with it!

im in the UK didnt realise we were not the only country that used this stupid idea. at the end of the day literally i now come home in the dark which is a pain in the a.. for me try walking a black and grey dog in the dark on a field with no lights who has been shut in all day. chickens not a problem ive got a light at the back to see what im doing.

never worked out how it saved daylight hours it doesnt change the time the sun comes up or goes down as far as farmers are concerned does it affect when cows want milking? or other daily chores.

nature carries on no matter what time it is by our clocks, birds still tweet at dawn wether its 6am or 7am

I've seen references to "losing hours of daylight" on here.....people, we still have exactly the same number of hours of daylight no matter what the clock says!!
