Lavender kit nodded and then something caught her eye. A silver flower growing in leaf bare. "Hey Heronpaw, come look at this... Its wierd..."
Heronpaw trotted over, "I've never seen a silver flower before. Plenty of white ones, but never silver." she meowed, sticking her nose down to sniff at it, "The scent isn't familiar either. Not to mention the obvious fact that few plants grow during leaf-bare."

Coldshard walked up behind her. Is this what we're looking for? He breathed in the scent. Remarkably like catmint, but with an odd tang.

"Good," Coldshard muttered, lashing his tail. End of discussion. He continued onward, hiding his deep concern for Morningpaw. No, happens all the time in Forestclan. My uncle had a blind eye too.

Morningpaw came forward slowly, tilting her head. "That's....odd." She came close to it, sniffing it gingerly. "I recognize this. The smell, similar to catmint yet very tangy at the same time. And it looks familiar to. I found it growing by the lake." She paused. "Which I strange because...it was in a very, very marshy and wet area. But it's very dry, very open up here." She narrowed her eyes. "Icepaw said it was nothing, probably just some sort marsh plant but...." She drew off, leaning back on her haunches.

"I agree about the scent, but... You've seen one like this?" Heronpaw asked, "I never have. I didn't know silver flowers even existed. It's even stranger, though, that it was in marshy ground and now in this dry place. It'd have to have a huge range of adaptability."
Crowpaw came forward beside Morningpaw, curling his lip. "What a utterly revolting smell!" He spat. "Why is it silver?"
Heronpaw shrugged, "That's what I'd like to know."

Morningpaw nodded, claws kneading the ground. "Yes." She sighed heavily, staring at the flower. "But this is the only other time Ive every seen anything like it."
