"Kits have dreams all the time," Sparrowpaw scoffed. "You medicine cats think everything's a sign." She muttered under her breath, flicking her tail. She stared intently at the flower, as if trying to see what the others said was so special about it.
Heronpaw rolled her eyes and continued to stare at the flower.

Morningpaw looked up at Sparrowpaw, and shook her head. "Did I dream it? No. I saw it."
"I thought you were there in my dream?"
"What dream?" Morningpaw growled.
"The one I had at the moon pool about you? When you had the blind eye you have now."
Heronpaw rolled her eyes and continued to stare at the flower.
Sparrowpaw stared triumphantly at Lavenderkit and Heronpaw. "See? Just a kit's dream."
She meowed, but her voice wavered a little. The kit did have a dream of Morningpaw with one eye, which came true... but this flower's been seen before. It's not that special.

Lavenderkit held her out her paw and brushed the flower. The moon and stars almost reflected in it. She sniffed it, and let the scent overwhelm her. With a stiffening jolt she remembered. Everything, the scent of her mother long lost. How she had been left here to wander. Watching her mother eat the flower and slip to the ground. With trembling legs she had tried to rouse her. Without fail, she knew this place. "I know this place. My mother died here." She started trembling and flopped to the ground. Shock pulsed through her tiny body, until her breath stopped. A silver cat, the silver cat, find the spirit of the silver cat. The single thought echoed in her mind and she took a breath but still she lay on the ground.

"Here? In the middle of nowhere?" Coldshard asked. "Oh yeah. You're a kittypet," he growled.

Morningpaw stalked up to him, and promtly raised a unsheathed paw, and slammed it hard against his cheek. She bared her teeth, snarling. "So am I."
"Ow!" Coldshard scowled. "If I'm a little irritable, it's because cats are attacking me all the time!" He licked his paw, rubbing hard to wash his face, but only succeeding to open freshly closed wounds.

Morningpaw swatted his paw away from his face with a sheathed paw. "Don't do that, it's just going to make it worse. I'll find some dock or marigold leaves to put on it later."

"Says the person who just scratched me. 'Don't do that it'll make it worse," Coldshard hissed.
