"Oh, wow. That was just a guess." Heronpaw meowed, for once without any sarcasm, "SplashClan is used to fishing, so we don't have to worry about the softness of our paws, just our reflexes."
"Fishing is hard, isn't it?" Crowpaw meowed, tail twitching slightly as he caught the scent of a rabbit near by. His paws itched to run after it, but he couldn't just abandon the rest of them all the sudden.

Coldshard was jolted by her lack of sarcasm. "I have to walk like that sometimes. Helps you balance on branches, though I suppose you would have to on moors too, to not get seen ans stuff. I just jump on things from trees..."
"Ah, I see how that would help." Heronpaw nodded.

Heronpaw shrugged, "You have to have a lot of patience, that's for sure. But I can't imagine it's as hard as having to chase your prey must be."

"Depends. I guess if a ForestClan cat, for example, tried to chase a rabbit, they'd tire out quickly. But MapleClan cats are built for speed. Long legs, small body, long tails. Really depends on who you talk to I suppose." Crowpaw meowed. He paused, turning around. "Here, someone else can take her now." He meowed, lowering the kit to the ground. "Unless she can walk herself?" He mewed, prodding the kit in the side.

"Yeah. Chasing prey seems difficult," Coldshard admitted.
"I thought so. We're all made for catching different prey." Heronpaw mewed, then added with a snicker, "Of course, any cat with enough patience can learn to fish, no matter what they're built for."

Crowpaw just stared at her, a frown carved onto his muzzle. "Whatever." He muttered, turning away and continuing on. His strides her slow, but long and sure. He was almost slinking with the way his movements where, belly low to the ground, tail swaying, head held just far enough off the ground so that the kit wouldn't bump against the earth.

"True, true." Morningpaw nodding, stumbling over her paws. Regaining her paws, she tilted her head slightly at Crowpaw's peculiar strides and body language. "Strange. I've never seen a cat walk like that before. But I guess that's MapleClan for you, full of surprises."
Heronpaw nodded, "I know. It's a bit strange, but all of MapleClan probably walks like that. It must help catch prey or something."
"Actually, you're right, Heronpaw. It helps soften your paw steps, which helps when hunting rabbits. But most MapleClanners walk this way all the time. Makes yourself less noticible." Crowpaw meowed, grunting with effort to keep his head up.
"I don't. Think it makes you look like an opossum." Sparrowpaw chirped, twitching an ear. "I don't see why it's necessary to be unnoticeable when you're not hunting something."
"She's paralyzed, Coldshard. She can't help it." Morningpaw murmured, her eyes flickering toward him. "I can't force you to do anything, and I'm not even going to try, but if you could be a little bit more cooperative it could r-" She cut off, stumbling. Hissing, she struggled to pull herself to her paws. "Really...ergh...help."

Sparrowpaw stared expectantly at the kit.

"Is that a challenge?" Crowpaw meowed, looking at her with a mischvious smirk.
"Maybe it is." Heronpaw replied, happy to have finally gotten a positive reaction from the emo, "Whatever will you do?"

Sparrowpaw stared expectantly at the kit.
"You're just weird, then. How dare you not act like your Clanmates." Heronpaw playfully scolded her.

"I mean, I can't back down from a challenge, now can I?" Crowpaw stated, drawing a paw over his ear. "Alright. Next stream we come across I'll catch a fish. But then you have to catch a rabbit."
