Rabbits Won't breed

Well, I finally got to breed my doe this week! You guys were right, in his own territory he was perfectly interested in breeding, and he was successful. Thank you all for your advice, I'll be sure to post pics of the babies!

I'm glad you got it worked out. I was going to post it definately isn't the size since my rabbit is interested in one twice his size!

So, my doe had a liter of six....then she killed five of them right off the bat. I don't really know why she did that, one day the nest is empty, the next day there's dead bunnies scattered all over. I found one hiding in the corner, she must've not have known it was there because it was the only survivor. She's not taking care of it, and I'm afraid she'll kill that one too.

You can breed her right back. Rabbits have a 3 strike rule. 3 litters that they kill, they are dinner!

Boy, you are a lot more generous than I ever was. For my rabbits the second time they killed their litter, they were done. In more ways than one.

Can you breed them while they're still nursing young? Cuz I'm force nursing the survivor at the moment. Should I wait and breed her again till after it grows? (Or dies, which ever comes first)

Yes, especially if she is just raising one!

I have just read the three strikes rule, so thats what I go by.
