Raising Baby Chick-Along

I've got three more along with the turkeys that are a week away from joining the adults. The last set I added I can't tell the difference unless one of the boys tries his thing, then its obvious she's not ready. The smallest boy took probably a ten minute beating with beak, wings and feet when attempting his job on a teenage bird.:smack

If your two Favorelles are the yellow ones, it looks like you may have a male and female.

I only have one Faverolles, and so far (at almost 7 weeks old), she looks to be a definite pullet. The other yellow chick is/was a Delaware, also looking like a definite pullet at this age.

Out of Hootie's brood, though, I'm fairly confident that the barred chick is a cockerel (comb is already turning pink/red at less than 3 weeks old); it's still too soon to tell on the others.
