I carried them out in the coffee box, I sat out with them from 10:45 to 12:20-- I think they rather enjoyed themselves,

Ok, I need your thoughts on this- ???Putting the sets of chicks together???
the 6 brown chicks DOB is 5-10
the 2white orpington /5red chicks DOB is 5-18
they are one week apart
I dont have 2 brooders and 2 heating plates
There is room in the current set up

I will be picking the reds up in the a.m.,,, mix them or dont??

Not right away I wouldn’t but I haven’t raised many chicks.

I would say to get another dog crate and heating plate just like the ones you already have, so there will be no pressure to put them together and you will have the option to separate if something is amiss.

For me, eight days is too big a difference at this young age.
