6:30, coops open, 5 hens were already off the roost and pecking around in the dark coop - coop all scooped up and ready for the day

Well, still 2 out of 10 are laying. The Brown LH's are 27 weeks this week and the 2 Red LH's and 2 Orpingtons are 26 weeks,
All in their own time

Well it is molting season, Granny, my 3 year old White Leghorn looks like a porcupine, I noticed today she even lost her tail feathers which are coming back but not the tall ones on the tail yet.

Oh definitely molting season. I’ve got a OE that is a hot mess, and a feather legged banty rooster with ingrown leg feathers. The coop looks like someone had a pillow fight. Such fun. LOL
