The only chickens they offer for sale are meat birds. If it's a white chick it's a Cornish Cross and they are not bred to live long lives. If it's a red chick it would be the red broiler. They can live longer. Either way, the person taking the chick needs to be prepared.

he is yellow with a dark stripe on his head. His wing feathers are patterned, black/brown and beige. Sorry, I don't know anything about chickens. I will let her know, but she probably knows way more than me. She works at NC State with their agriculture program and raises chickens and turkeys.
