Well I got it set without loosing any fingers. Good thing, I cant spare any already. I have it in a place that nothing vital like the dogs or my toes should ever be.
Its behind the washer an fridge.
Steel blast wall. This rat has cost me well over $50 already
so that $20 band trap is starting to sound like its worth the money. Especially sense my other "next" option leaves me patching 12 gauge pellet holes in the3 walls an floor. Not a big fan of everyone in the house griping about ringing ears ether.
the snap type rat traps can be "tuned " slightly where the spring touches the wood lift it up and put a coupla pennies between the spring and the wood it makes the spring tighter and the bar hits them a bit harder. Me I used to struggle killing wharf rats they are bad here on the coast I use a conibear 110 style trap it works great .
I'm just to paranoid of poison. Between the chance of having to rip a wall apart after rotting rats an the chances it could affect the dogs an chickens I try to stay with traps.
