For dogs is very very good! Lol!
It can actually increase their lives by 3 years, fun fact. ;)
My dogs should live forever hopefully with all of the eggs they steal! :yesss:
actually....
"Modern Inuit have lifespans 12 to 15 years shorter than the average Canadian's, which is thought to be influenced by factors such as their diet and limited access to medical services."

and another link about NOT eating raw eggs

Living in Italy for many years, I knew older people over 100 years old who ate a raw egg every morning. Italians and Japanese are the longest living ethnic groups, both eating plenty of raw fish also. Anecdotal, sure, but I would say eating raw eggs doesn't shorten lifespans.

Certainly a possibility. I was just playing devil's advocate to the blanket statements made by the OP. I am not a nutritionist.

it's almost like longevity is not a single variable equation. and of course correlation is not causation.
If there's no correlation with health and long life, it's one more reason for me not to worry about it. :)

One thing we did eat in Italy that we don't in the states is carpaccio (raw beef). The meat here is not the same and I don't know my butcher well enough for that here.

Raw eggs an raw food is good.

When I was in the Navy, we would be in many ports where we were not allowed to eat eggs that were not fully cooked due to concerns over Salmonella. You had a choice of scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, or scrambled eggs. If you don't know the health of the chicken laying the egg, I guess I would not be so anxious to eat a raw egg.

Same thing with concerns over raw meat. If you don't have confidence that you are eating healthy animals, then you better cook it well to kill off the stuff that could make you sick.

FWIW, I prefer most of my food as raw as possible. But there are foods, like pork, that I will absolutely cook very well in case of parasites. I don't eat raw chicken either. But I like my steaks as rare as possible.
