... but I've been doing the community management thing for a LOT of years, so I've definitely seen trends and patterns around what some of the problems are and what some of the solutions need to be

It's got to be like trying too look at a wide world thru a keyhole,
what with small screens and not so fully functional software.

I know sometimes when I do a search the title of a thread catches my attention, I get excited, and forget to look at the original date.

Yep! That was one of the others that kicked my pet peeve, and caused this thread too.

Same here. I think that's why the turkey thread got so much activity. Turkey fell off the slaughter truck! I had to read it!
I also considered that when titling this one. Apparently it attracted a bit of attention too.

Yea, and I'm an upright mobile user, and some stuff is hidden upright. But i do remember to turn it sideways to check location, post count, stats, etc.

I probably shouldn't even respond to this thread since I'm fairly new here and I haven't read all 20 pages of this thread, but it sure would be nice if the admins could require that members put their location in their profile before they're allowed to post questions. Sure would eliminate a lot of unnecessary questions. I apologise if this has already been suggested in this thread. Like I said, I'm guilty of not reading all of the posts in this thread.
