Well, CRUD! The tracking number tells me the eggs were delivered....to DOUGLASVILLE! I live over 3 hours from there. Who the heck did they deliver to??? What the heck?

Well, Christina talked to the P.O. Supposedly, they tried to deliver them in Douglasville. (To whom? Why? ARGH!) then they took them to my P.O. and they are supposedly there now and will be delivered tomorrow. Talk about a waste of gasoline for no reason in the world I can think of! My zip isn't even close to the one for Douglasville, which is about 3.5 hours south of me. Cindy, the P.O. got some 'splainin' to do, LOL! Craziest thing I've ever heard. If they hadn't gone way down there, they'd be in my bator right now!

You're going to love this. The P.O. finally sent email confirmation that it was delivered in Douglasville and they sent it THREE times. Just for kicks, I went to the site, put in the tracking number again and look.....

You'd be surprised how many items are misrouted. I send misroutes back daily, but thankfully it's normally just letters and a lot of times it's within the same post office. Not always, though.

I'm guessing whoever scanned the item did not hook it in to the charger/computer yet and that's why it's not showing as scanned when you check in on the computer. Although it supposedly only updates on the computer at night, I think it says?

It does say it updates at night but even that isn't true. I checked at 8 a.m. today on the USPS site and it said the pkg was accepted in Douglasville this morning at 6:22 a.m. So, it updated this morning. If they wouldn't waste so much gasoline, the rates might not have to go up all the time, LOL.

One of my boxes of eggs was taken to the po of a town a couple hours south of me earlier this spring...it too wasn't even close to having the same name or zip. At least you know they're almost to you now.
