Recommend a cat litter

A couple years ago, someone here on BYC talked about using Stall-Dry as cat litter. I gave it a whirl. It's as good as any of the cat litters in the pet aisles, but not perfect. If you find one that is dust free, let me know.

and a couple of foster cats. We use World's Best Cat Litter. Pricey, but it's the only thing we've found that works well. Clumps great and last a while before getting stinky. We previously used Sweat Scoop, but we noticed that it's stinky during the summer when temperatures in the house are around 80F.

Grits, you know i have 8 cats..and the ONLY one that i found that worked pretty good is Fresh Step.. Get like the multiple cat one..
Tried Tidy Cat, Arm & Hammer... they didnt work as good.

Fresh Step is the best, by far....at least of the standard brands. Never tried World's Best, too expensive.

With 1 cat, I used the cheap Walmart stuff and it was fine and dandy.

With 3 cats, I use Tidy Cat.....cheaper than Fresh Step but still works well. And it still comes in the plastic buckets, whereas Fresh Step does not. I like the buckets....lol....

ETA: back in the day when we had like 8 or 9 house cats, Fresh Step was all we used. Hated the Arm and Hammer stuff, too powdery, they would kick it everywhere and it didn't clump very well.

I really like tidy cat, although would use Fresh Step if I had more money (or it came in a bucket! LOL)

What about adding an additional box? Maybe that one could be a self scooper - of course in a new location, so as not to spook her highness. Encouraging Bug to use the new one also.

Sounds like the box is getting too much "action" with the 3 cats for the litter to hold up like it did with 2.

I'm using the feline pine, too. Wish I could find the equine pine, it would be so much cheaper.

There is a variation on that at Tractor Supply. It runs around $5 ish a 40lb bag. It is TONS cheaper than the Feline Pine stuff and is the same thing. I have a three cat household. It works great at keeping the smell down and I love that I can dump it on one of my compost heaps. The only downside is that once it turns to sawdust the cats tend to track it around the house. I'm trying to find some carpet squares to help with that.
