recommendation for protein for molting

I noticed yesterday that one of my RIR gals is losing some feathers around the neck area. Was inquiring as to what you would recommend I feed as an additional protein source for the gals to ease on the molting. I have read and do not know if it is recommended that black oil sunflower seeds can be added to help. That i do have on hand but wanted to get your advice first.

I use gamebird feed. I think its like 24% protein. It helps them grow their feathers back quickly and keeps them looking shiney and healthy. I've heard people who show feed it to keep their birds in great condition. You can also give them meat scraps for a protein boost. I think some people give a little cat food as well. But I like the gamebird feed and meat scraps. Good luck,
