Hi all. So I have a 2 year old Lavender Orpington who was egg bound for about a day and a half. She passed the egg this morning. She seems more perky, but still seems lethargic and a bit under the weather. Her feathers are still puffed up and she looks cold, so I turned a heat lamp on for her. I was thinking maybe she was just still tired from pushing the egg out? She had an x-ray done so I know there was only one egg. She’s eating okay, not as well as usual and I haven’t seen her actively drink, but she may be doing it when I’m not there. I’m going to add some electrolytes to her water and give her some crushed up Tums until I have time to go and get oyster shells. Just not sure if this is normal behavior post egg-binding? Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm not sure how to help you, as I have never experienced egg binding. I hope she recovers well! This should bump you to the top and get a answer :D
