Red dots on the yolk

My eggs sometimes have very small ( pinhead) red (blood?) dots on them. Should I be concerned?

I believe that is just the sign of a fertilized egg, but I could be wrong.

They do not indicate a fertilized egg but are caused by the rupture of a blood vessel during formation. It's nothing to worry about. Your hen is fine and they're safe to eat

I have a chicken encyclopedia and wih blood spots it says sometimes a immature yolk is released instead of the mature ones and this causes the blood spots. Ie the immature one breaks away from the supply.
