Red foot? Bumble foot? Something else?

Where do you live..are his feet constantly wet?

Michigan. And no it’s super super dry here right now. Our grass is dying lol. We’ve had a lot of rain in the last couple months but no so much that anything has standing water.

their run is sand / pea stone and always dry, but when they free range their feet do get a little wet.

Someone on this site previously mentioned he may have scaly leg mites, so I put oil on twice to try and drown them.

do you have a fungicide you recommend to try?

thank you!
Oh, I see..That is definitely not scaly leg. You would be able to see where the scales lift. and If it were, you would use Vaseline, not oil. it's a miracle. You know that cream for Vaginal yeast infections you can get a CVS? or even the foot cream? that's a fungicide. I would make sure his coop is nice and clean and dry, wash his feet, apply dome fungicidal cream for a few days and see what happens.

I think the redness on the bottom of his feet is unrelated to the redness on top of his feet.
The bottom of his feet look bruised to me. They may be painful to him. You may want to reevaluate your substrate and roosts...you could be in for some very large problems in the future esp with a heavy rooster.

Yep either work, I find the athletes foot cream is cheaper and the tube seems to last longer.

and I would not wrap them, I would let the air get at them...

Okay good to know. I found this (pic) on google saying to use olive oil for SLM, so I will remember Vaseline if that ever happens. Thanks!

I will grab some fungicide tomorrow and try that.

Also, we’re re-doing their entire coop in a couple weeks. It was our first time building a coop and we definitely found all the places we went wrong lol. They will have everything new including roosts. :)

Thank you so much for all of your help!
