They're lots of fun and lots of work.
The black steer, Cheeseburger, (another one of my mom's boss' dad's names... lol) was a limi crossed with an angus. Your calf should be great. It's a great cross to get length and "marbling" in the meat. I show sheep also. They're alot of fun. We run them in the mornings during the summer to build up muscle. My lamb didn't do too well this year. He got sick right before the show. His name was Blue. Here's a pic.
