red spot on day 22 egg what is it

yes they incubate up and down big end up. i dont know why it seems one side is colder then the other using my one thermometer one side was around 99 and the other side was around 100.4 i dont see how with it being this small
 
I would guess it depends on where you have it sitting. If a draft is hitting it from one side, or the sun, or an A/C vent or open door? That's why BYC910 mentioned the aquarium. Even though those things are small, they have a tougher time stabilizing, because of not much room to circulate the air....
And are you tipping the whole thing several times a day to keep the eggs in different positions?
 
no its not its in my room no sun hits it and i actually dont even have working air conditioner right now central air went out.

I was thinking the same thing tip it at least 5 degrees right or left 4 or 5 times a day put a small book or something about 1/2 inch thick to hold it up should do the trick might be a good ideal to rotate the incubator 180 to if it affects the temp
