Thank you! I got the saline solution, chickrx, and tylan 50Many feed stores lock up the eye ointments and small items, but they may have them if you ask for them. I have plain neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment in my hen’s injured eye, but if you can get the eye ointment or eyedrops they are considered more sterile for the eyes.
This is not my strong suit but I should have gotten a much smaller one then, correct? For tylan 50 injectable, give your chick (one tenth) 1/10cc tylan orally twice a day for 5 days.
Do I apply chickrx to comb directly and undiluted? Also, do I need a needle syringe to get into the tylan50?No problem: 1.0 ml = 1cc.
So, go below 1.0ml to the bottom where the syringe narrows. Right about there should be 1/10ml. It's really a small dose for your chick due to her weight.
It smell just like Vicks. It is chicken Vicks. LolYes you will need a 3 ml syringe with an 18 to 20 gauge needle (or several,) to remove the Tylan. Remove the needle to give it orally. You may be referring to Vet Rx which is an herbal oil containing rosemary, oregano, camphor, and pine oil in a corn oil base. It has nothing that would treat a respiratory disease, but could be compared with Vicks vaporub.
