I found these angry, red bumps on my rooster's legs about three days ago. He is eating, moving around and doing everything normal but I know this isn't right. We have no vets in this area that specialize in poultry so I reached out to Poultry DVM online and they suggested I wash the area, soak in epsom salts and spray with Vetrycin poultry spray, which I have done twice daily for the last two days. But there is no improvement. Does anyone have any idea what this is and, more importantly, how can I correct it?

TIA.

Is vet care an option for you? Those may be papilloma, they can test to confirm that. This article talks about them in birds, and if you search for papilloma in birds and images you will find some pictures.

No, sir. None of the vets around here are familiar with chickens. I've checked! But thank you for this article. I hope this could be it, something that might resolve itself.
