I also believe that this is either custom or home-made. GQF incubators are basically made with the same materials. This unit looks like it would have been used as a hatcher for quail or other bird with small eggs according to the spacing of the trays. I believe it to be a hatcher because it doesn't have a turning sysyem like an incubator would have. It would be a manual turn system and I don't believe that someone would build it with that design with that many trays. It would be alot of work to manually turn all of those eggs three times a day.
It does look to be well built though and could be used for an incubator if you really wanted to do the labor of manually turning your eggs. Trays could also be removed for larger eggs if need be. My only concern with this unit is air flow. My personal experience tells me that there are too many trays for proper air flow on the eggs. They are spaced too close together for all of the eggs to get the proper heat and humidity required for incubation.

For sale: Lehy Wooden Incubator will be for sale and on display at the Poultry Show in Pensacola Florida March 31st. I have decided to scale down on my hatching of water fowl and no longer need it. I have had it for five years and it works like a charm. Lehy made these about 30 years ago under their name as well as Sears and Roebuck and Montgomery Wards. The secret to this highly successful hatching incubator is the Red Wood boards which breath and maintain humidity to such a great degree and that is why top call duck waterfowl breeders love to use them. For general poultry it can't be beat. The eggs are hand turned so no automatic turners in these models. If you had this incubator made today it would cost at least $1,500. in today's money. I am asking $375 first come first serve. No shipping as it is too much trouble and very costly by freight truck to ship. Contact Robert Blosl at [email protected] or call me at 251-945-5990
