Refrigerated eggs...**Update pic (graphic) page 5**

Well, neither egg hatched, so I took them out of the bator last night and waited until this morning to crack them open to find out if they were fertile or not. One was completely formed! I'm not sure what day it quit.

The other looks like it quit somewhere between day 7 and 10. Not sure. Here's a pic.

I hatched 20 of 25 chicken eggs that had been in the fridge 2-3weeks. I also stuck around 100 button eggs that had been sitting around in my fridge with no use for up to a month and had somewhere around 75-80% hatch rate. Last winter my japanese bantam hens started laying in the middle of the coldest weather at -20F in the coop. I collected 6 eggs one day with one obviously frozen and set the other 5. I hatched 2 chicks. I also candled these eggs daily since I was so excited about hatching my first japanese bantams. If you aren't going to set eggs within 7-10 days in my experience so far you will actually get more chicks from refrigerating them than if you let them sit out.

My broody just went broody again. She had been laying so I have eggs in the fridge from her. Think there's a chance I could sneak them under her and hatch with any success? She's a silkie.
