Regarding Political Related Topics

I have very strong opinions on what is right and what is wrong and will stand toe to toe with anyone to defend my position. With that being said it is nice to be able to come to a site and not be confronted with arguements. There are numerous forums on which you can and are encourgaged to express your views, but on thpse sites no one talks about chickens. Perhaps it would be best that if you want to discuss politics or religion you should go there. Thanks again Nifty to you and all the moderators for a great forum, A chicken forum.

This thread needs to stay visible for a long while. I also encourage everyone to read or reread the Rules of this forum. They're actually quite easy to follow, and it's what makes BYC so nice.

We learned early on that BYC can't be all things to all people... and that was 60,000 members ago!

Each time we enter into the political season we encourage everyone to really think about what they are about to post and consider how others may interpret it. If it is something that may cause contention and debate, it probably isn't appropriate for our community... especially if it isn't chicken related.

On a related note: We're very lucky to have a world class group of BYC Moderators that are extremely diverse in their views on many subjects. What is truly amazing is how often they all agree about what should and shouldn't be posted. If you find yourself with a post or thread that has been moderated, please be aware that the issue was almost definitely discussed by multiple members of the staff before action was taken. That being the case please respect their actions and work with them to help keep BYC a wonderful place to visit for everyone.
