@Blooie you got a new do! Very cute!

Why, thank you very much for that unsolicited testimonial! (Your check is in the mail!) :lau Anyway, I do thank you. I wasn't sure about the haircut at first, but since I got it the day before we left on the cruise there wasn't much I could do about it. Now I like it too!

My favorite TV show of all time.......

My favorite TV show of all time.......
The thing with those old shows is that they are FUNNY. We have a "community" tv station that shows a lot of really ancient tv shows. They hold up to current content. They show one called "Life with Elizabeth" starring Betty White. She was funny back then, she's funny now which is why she's still working at 90-odd years of age.

I wish they'd put Lucy back on. I'm sure they'd get an audience.

I got the first season of "Leave it to Beaver" out from the library (it's available on DVD). It's really funny. Little bits are anachronistic, but the basic humour is still funny. That scummy Eddie Haskell. I'd buy the whole boxset if they put it out.

Its so true. Most comedy shows made today are more stupid then funny. Along with the I Love Lucy, the Dick Van Dyke show, Leave it to Beaver, and the Andy Griffith show are other favorites in our house and if you go farther back we watch/listen to the George Burns and Gracie Allen show and the Jack Benny show. Oh and Our Miss Brooks.
