Hey, did you in the US play elastics?
You mean those paddle boards with the ball attached to an elastic string? We had them. Did you have clackers?
I think some kids got killed with those things. Took them off the market didn't they?Clackers were fun to use as a bola.
How about yard darts?
I think some kids got killed with those things. Took them off the market didn't they?
Yes, that's it. We also called it Chinese jump rope, but we call "jump rope" "skippy", so it was called Chinese Skippy. Yes we had those "dingbat" things with the table tennis bat and ball attached. We also had "click clacks" which were these heavy plastic ball things on string that you banged at the top and banged and the bottom and if you didn't bang them properly, they'd bash you on the wrist. MANY broken wrists from those things before they took them off the market. Those were the days.We called it Chinese jump rope. With the elastic band run between two people and a third in the middle?
Yes, I agree on that. This is a time of laziness. People never seem to go out into the world and enjoy what's around them, they prefer to sit in front of a screen. I think life should be full of adventure, hard work, and purpose! Though that doesn't seem to be the case in this time.
