Thinking of you Sumi!Good afternoon everyone!
I am sure you are all wondering about Sumi and how she is fairing through her battle with cancer. Sumi was able to keep us all updated on her condition up until recently via PMs and in her Donations Request thread in our Website Feedback forums. However on those occasions when she would suddenly stop making contact with us and we had no way of knowing what was going on of course we feared the worst. Fortunately we recently made a connection to a very dear close friend of Sumi and Xaviers, Sumi's Angel as she referred to her, our angel as well, Vicky. Vicky has been taking Xavier back and forth to the hospital to see his Mom, Vicky has sat at Sumi's bedside with all the love and companionship, Vicky has been our savior keeping us updated on how our dear Sumi has been dealing with all this.
Sumi is in a nursing home now and is growing more tired as the days pass, she is not as mobile as she used to be, she sleeps a lot and is more quiet these days. She hasn't made any contact with anyone here on BYC in over 2 weeks. At present she is being treated for a lung infection, however she was a tad jovial this morning joking with the nurses about wine! (Sumi loved her wine!) And while she was able to have visitors up till recently, what with the Covid-19 going through these nursing homes around the world, she is sort of on lockdown with few allowed to enter and visit.
She seems comfortable enough although we heard this morning she is on pain medication. I would imagine she misses Xavier being on Covid-19 lockdown and being that she cannot get up and go do things, she could probably use our companionship and prayers through the ethernet here. So you might stop by here and let her know how much you care, miss her and how much we all think of her on a daily basis. I am sure with our collective posting and well wishes, she will feel our compassion at her bedside."
