If anyone is in Texas and enjoys camping and gators, be sure to check out Brazos Bend State Park. A hike there is an amazing experience - alligators are literally eveverywhere. Our best experience was a warm day in winter. The gators were all up and sunning themselves, and because it was winter the plant life wasn't too thick to see them all. They've also got a learning center where they'll sometimes have a park worker with a baby gator for folks to pet. It's a totally different experience camping amongst them as opposed to seeing them in a zoo!
