Rescued a wild duckling, please help!

You know, I think that’s an Australian wood duck. They have shorter bills than domestics. You might have to get her a little friend, maybe a call duck or something small. She’s really cute! I hope she can do okay with her bill, I know of a Peking that has a twisted bill and he does just fine! I’d love a few more pictures if you can

getting that duckling a friend would be excellent... ducks need companionship, like all living things (with the exception of maybe plants?). You could post pics of the little duck's injured side... People on BYC aren't too squeamish. Most people here have dealt with one injured animals or more over their lives. But yeah: the sooner you can get some company for the little ducko, the better :) even a little chick, if you can't find another duckling (but ducks need swimming water and chickens aren't great around open water)
