such a small bird, I dont know how you could hand feed without asperating it.
Seems as though you may be reaching the point of no return.
You may just need to decide to go for it and try, or give up on him, his chances are getting slimmer all the time.
Hard call to make, Ide hate to be in your place on this. Just know that you tried and dont feel bad (like you did anything wrong) if things go south. His chances were very slim from the start.

Well, thank you everyone for all of your help and advice. Baby bird died a little while ago. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Amazing how you can get so attached to such a teensy little thing, isn't it?

That is a very hard position to be in, but your compassion and dedication was commendable.
