Rhode island red?

I have never seen a Russian Orloff chick with yellow skin. Their shanks are yellow, but the skin of their face, including the comb, should be pink or red; pink at this age.

There's nothing else I could think of that it might be, though. It looks like an odd colored Russian Orloff.

RIRs are very red in color. Unlike the chick shown here.

In my experience, they were orangey when they were chicks, but it could just be mine that were. They got very deep red as they matured.

Same here. My chicks were very orange and become red as they grew.

Or it could very well be a hybrid(Red Star?) that got tossed in. I didn't know TSC's hatchery (Hoover?) sold Orloffs.

also, I don't know why people are thinking that it isn't an orloff because of little things like skin color... Hatchery bred birds are quite commonly not to standard!

Not all TSC's are supplied by Hoover's. TSC has an online supplier, too.

I think they're Hoover's too. At least they are in our area.

My little Buckeyes looked very similar to this one in color at that age, but the body shape is a little different. And the bucks have little brown tipped beaks. I think she's lovely, whatever she is!
