Rhode Island

Hi everyone,
Being from RI my husband does a bit of fishing. When he filets the fish I always want to cook up the carcass and give it to the girls. Great protein!! But we are concerned about the bones. Have any of you ever tried this?
Thanks for your input.

Hi
I don't think I would chance it due to the small bones. Post your question in the feeding watering your flick forum. I'm sure someone with more experience than I will chime in.

Hello all.

I am currently in MA, but planning to move to Coventry RI.
I have had chickens for 6 years now.

Are there any places locally to buy chicks? I have purchased through the mail before, but I prefer a small flock- and mail order minimums are too high!

You can contact Allies tack and feed in north kingstown. Great family owned business I get my feed from them They aren't to far from Coventry. Another store is Summit General store in Coventry. Family owned also. Summit may be closer or farther than allies depending on what part of Coventry u r moving to.

Does anyone know where I can get some young ducklings asap? I have a day-old Mallard single hatchling that needs some company desperately. Willing to consider other breeds and will drive to pick up most anywhere in New England. Please let me know if you know of any options.

Thanks!

Hi- I'm new here from Barrington. Still building the coop. Australorps and Easter Egger pullets ordered to be picked up in May. Many of you are asking for a local source for birds- we are trying The Hatching House in Ct which has a nice assortment of heritage breeds and doesn't kill their roosters. Will let you know how it goes.
