Ribh's D'Coopage

It was on this morning.
There were a number of girls in the coop investigating the nesting boxes.
Lavender had snavelled the present favourite ~ & Aoife was sure it was much better than the 2nd rate hovel she had been relegated to.

She went round to stake her claim.
After all, the boxes are plenty big enough for 2!
Lavender does not think so.
I missed snapping the sharp reminder she gave Aoife but the kefuffle resulted in a broken egg. *sigh* Not Lavenders but a blue, which I suspect was buried somewhere under the mulch.

There are 4 good sized boxes available but it seems only one is acceptable & Lavender isn't sharing! Meanwhile everyone else is standing under the coop screeching their combined heads off! 🙄 The noise is unbelievable!!

I shouldn't laugh but it's so funny how you tell it!

Does anyone else lay unusual shaped eggs? Mary's are very round for an egg. Unfortunately we may be waiting for the seasons to change before there's an example to show

I get a variety of shapes, sizes & colours but most of my girls aren't laying just yet so I will be interested to see what else I get.

I had my first broken egg today. The result of two in the same box and my boxes are quite small.
Maggie joined to be helpful by cleaning it up. That made three in a box sized barely big enough for one. My three have six boxes to choose from. Sigh.

I feel your pain. :hugsI have another 2 nesting boxes available in the small coop once I open the run gate ~ & still they'll squabble over the one box! I'm actually surprised Lavender broke this egg as the Aracauna's make really hard shells. :(

Good morning folks :frow

Sue had a good day today. She had her follow up angiogram and again it was negative. The neuro said that this is a good thing. Apparently her bleed came from a week spot in a vein that repaired itself after the bleed. We're starting the steps to get her home..
The prospect of going home must help cheer you both up.:hugs
