Hi. Any idea’s of breeds of chickens to get? I am getting some more once the coop is secure. Keep in mind I can have a max of 4-5. And also keep in mind some of the breeds you suggest may not Be available in my area. I’m looking for friendly, pretty, larger birds eg. the Sussex

Dry as at the momentHey, Bob.lol She's about 600 miles south but, yep.
Whole different environment down there.
And we have had tropical rain for weeks...Dry as at the moment
I would definitely get Sussex’s and more barred rocks but mums not a fan of the favorelles *sigh* but she is mumWyandottes are really pretty & are supposed to be friendly. Mine is. Others have different experiences with them. @WhoDatChick says hers is a bully. You've had Barred Rocks & I think they are lovely. My Favorelle Xs are really sweet & friendly. And my Australorps are lovely. The Blues are incredibly pretty. I like Sussex but Orpingtons are supposed to be really friendly. I love my Campines but wouldn't recommend them. Friendly they are not.![]()
