Sunny winter days are what makes the mid summer heat bearable here. Summer is by far the worst season. Strange really.

We've had over 100mm of rain in the past 24 hours ~ heavy, torrential, thundering rain. The girls pen is a soaked slimy mess. The run is ok ~ but they can't be in it. The sand box is ok but that is 14 girls huddled in an 8X8' space ~ which is obviously not enough space for 14 girls, though not everyone has bothered to get up yet. They got about a 15 minute run yesterday ~ the only sort of break we got in the weather. I can't get out to them this morning to check on them. Visibility is close to zero & the rain is pelting. Haven't seen rain like this in a long, long time & we have another 24 hours of it yet.

Well, at least you won't need to rely on your young fella to water the garden for a little while....

We should get this in summer ~ which is our rainy season. We never get winter rain like this.

A good soaker is a good thing anytime .

Sounds like a good opportunity to snuggle down with a cup of hot cocoa and a grand kid on each side and read a picture book.
