I don't know either. (I'm not a chicken)I don't know if its true or not, but it's thought that the extra activity of the gizzard to process the corn has a warming effect.
She's looking good...glad she's feeling better!

I know - sometimes I can't move because they are all tangled up in my feet and they peck at my boots tooOh, gosh yes! Not stepping on them ~ especially my Littlies! And some days they go bonkers & are really daft, flying up into the food trays before I can set them down or onto my shoulders, or they stand there pecking @ my trousers so I can't move! They really do their best to communicate with us poor non hens.

So cute! Genius in the round thing. It looks like something I have somewhere which is the top for a bowl fire pit. Never thought to use it for a chick day out. I am definitely copying that idea next time I get chicks!Okay, so I am all in with integration... just went ahead and left the little door open all day and tonight.. so we’ll see how it goes. It went very well today!
Here are some pic of the BG’s... and the middles in their secret hideout.. mama and babies.. and the flowers out in a little makeshift yard... Does it have to do with diabetes? I have a feeling...There aren't any.
Love learning new names for old things. And what a nice way to describe a night of insomnia.Sorrow folks, I obviously read too much. First used in 1845 in France.I've obviously had it in my vocab so long [not since 1845, not quite that old] that I thought it was common usage.

T.V. only "came" to South Africa in 1975, and the first person to get one in our family was my grandpa, in 1977. We only got one - a tiny B&W yellow and black portable (Sanyo) with an extendable antenna) - when I was 10.Nothing like IT to make you feel really dumb!I'm the wrong generation to just take this in my stride.
