Ribh's D'Coopage

I hope all things farm related start sorting out well in the very near future. We miss you & will be glad when you can rejoin the fray!

Ditto @Kris5902 .
You will have a heck of a time catching up, I wouldn't bother if I were you.

I'm sure someone on each thread can do a summary for you and add highlights!

Looking forward to "seeing" you again when you have time. ❤

Everything round here is *suddenlies*. Suddenly our son arrived. Suddenly we needed a few more things. Suddenly I finished YD's afghan & passed it along. Suddenly all YD's housemates want one too. I have enough orders to keep me busy crocheting for months! Suddenly I needed more wool. So where I have been today is on the mainland attending to the suddenlies. To say my girls are peeved would be an understatement.
We have a grandchild arriving mid September So that has been this month's project ~ a lovely waffle pattern but following instructions is not my forte & I have had some really dyslexic moments getting the pattern to work. *sigh* I'll be done before I have this nailed. :( It's not difficult; I just have trouble *seeing* what needs doing.

Some time ago I made a lovely lacy blankie for a PEI friend's daughter & YD has put in an order for her pregnant housemate ~ only in PINK! I do not like pink.

The girls loved me sitting out on the verandah in summer while I crocheted. They would gather round to chat & comment like a bunch of old Amish women! It was terribly funny.

So while John came home laden with bags of cement & mortar colouring & shovels & things of that nature I went & bought pink wool.
Hi @Ribh Has the baby girl arriven yet?! I know it isn't mid-Sept yet, but I thought I'd ask. I feel I know you, (after 150 odd pages) yet hesitate to use your real name, since you have absolutely no idea who I am...

What about your plentiful weasel populations? ;) @Butterscotchbitesfinger  Though, you do have a ton more elapids to worry about down there. So beautiful, so scary... and those spiders (ick!!!)

My girls only seem to like their grass and forage, but the Farm chickens, (all my little rescues) like kale and cabbage, but won’t touch lettuce... I suppose the chickens know what they need best, and so long as they aren’t gorging on treats they’re probably getting everything they need.

Rest up well! And remember to hydrate and take plenty of breaks. Sleep is a wonderful thing... I finally think I’ve caught up from my hatching sleep deprivation. I’ve been sleeping through all the ferry rides for vet trips (to the snoring fairly loudly point according to my mother) and after the last chicks were transferred into the small brooder I proceeded to take a 5 hr long (9am) nap yesterday. My sleep schedule hasn’t been this wonky since working full graveyard shifts for inventory counting! I do appreciate a good nights rest after a day of hard work, physically taxing things helps me sleep better 98% of the time!
What are elapids and dropbears ?

That's fine. I was a homeschooling blogger for years & have been blessed with wonderful online friendships. I know how to keep my private stuff private & a name is just a name so use whatever you are comfortable with. We have been joking here that everyone was calling me Rib in their mind when it's actually Gaelic & pronounced Reev. :lau I think everyone's still having trouble with that. :gig

My grand~daughter arrived last year & has just had her 1st birthday ~ so that's an indication of how long I've been waffling on.

Good evening everyone 😊

Good morning Bob 😊

Suyin has company.

She has been joined by 2 broodies, Wrold & Mhari, & Medh, who hasn't been allowed to eat @ the feeders for the past 2 nights & I thought was starting to look depressed. Medh had a big pig out as soon as I put her in the little coop. Mhari & Wrold have been bokking @ each other & Mhari took umbrage & went for Wrold. Suyin grabbed the last patch of sunlight & ignored everyone. Funny chook.

She looking much better 🤗 I'm so happy for you .

Hello Jeannie, I'm doing better Thank you 🤗 my headaches are staying around level 1\2 and just when we think the swelling is going away 🙄. The balancing act is crazy a in order to keep the swelling down, I'm supposed to keep my feet up and drink water but I need to build my strength up and I can't do that sitting all day 🤷.
