How come keets are so cute when young and then grow up to have such odd proportions?
Guineas end up with tiny heads and huge bodies.

We did have lunch.
GK was very good but adult lunches are very boring for little kids so after dessert I suggested we retreat to the park.

Her father would not be impressed. She referred to this as a *car*.

The small coop is ready. I worked all morning with chickens under my feet because they were very, very interested in what I was doing & wanted to investigate every last nook & cranny & couldn't believe they were locked out & not allowed anywhere near the little coop. I picked up my spare carriers & cleaned out the girls big coop too. Tomorrow is going to be one of those days~ too full, too exhausting, too emotionally draining. Too long, too hot, too everything. And as I was delivering eggs this morning I let my neighbours know I was getting more chooks ~ if only so they know there's some new ones if there are any escapees.
Oh, said my neighbour. Any Frizzles. I love your frizzle! I admitted to some frizzles. So this also could get very interesting before we're done because these are supposed to be Belgian frizzles & Belgians aren't known for being great layers & have funny fluffy feet. I am starting to get a litter flutter in my tum. One more sleep.

The next thing is the surprise that arrived.
I don't like outing people unless they're ok with that but I can't think of more people anywhere who will appreciate what arrived in the mail today so I won't tell you who it is from. They can do that themselves if they are so inclined but this is the surprise they sent me:

I can't wait to boil me an egg with vegemite soldiers & use them! Tonight's dinner methinks.

Oh yes! I much prefer rehearsals & the process than actually seeing the finished project. It did make watching the movie a little odd though. My mind fragments between what I see & what I knew had actually happened.
