They have some good genes:Barred rock [love my rocks], Araucana, Leghorns & Campines [Has anyone tried Legbars? From what I've read, they seem like a very good chicken.
]. If they breed true they should be pretty & friendly but I've never kept them.

.. I still go out to check and the last few nights everybody has seemed to find themselves a spot..

... last night I found one (Goosie
1st group) sleeping in the sand under the 3 flowers
... I have actually made the flowers (3 EEs and youngest ones) their own roosting area where the old roost used to be.. near the old nesting boxes.. that was the only way to get them into the coop.. they are deathly afraid of some of the big ones... and sometimes one of the Cochins (2nd group) is trying to “hide” in there as well.. I’m hoping as the flowers grow up they’ll move to the other roosts
.. but if they don’t it’s no big deal... but as for Lilly and Mak (1st group) and Gardenia and Petunia and sometimes Camellia (2nd group.. they have flower names as well but they are the Cochin bantams) they are all mixed in with the big gals and even have better roosting spots than them... so we are getting there but I think it was extra hard because of so many different ages...
but You Tube, Here I come!
I calculated on the last lot of wool I used in the gauge & needle size but something is wrong. I think this wool is actually thicker as I noticed my wrist was starting to ache so I will ring the store & if they don't have any I will have to order online again & wait simply ages before I can finish this off. I would like to get it to YD's friend before winter actually ends.
