I got some new chickens today from the local feed store. Belgian D’uccles! I haven’t seen any for sale in my area ever so I pounced on two of them. The third had quite a large cross beak so I didn’t buy her. $25 each! What a bargain!

They are beautiful birds. I have 2: a porcelain & a B&W frizzle. They have very sweet dispositions. I hope yours give you as much pleasure as mine do me.

This is my cockerel. He’s sort of “training” to be the leader but the old rooster doesn’t bother him and vice versa. I reckon eventually he will take over but the other rooster doesn’t seem to care if he is mating with some of the hens.
