I have decided to take pride in the moniker. Cats are fine creatures worthy of admiration and cuddles. The only thing stopping me getting more is the tabby cat who told me enough is enough (she hates other cats).

No, not sad @Marie2020 . Just trying to do what Shad is always advocating & not only managing my tribe responsibly but also not perpetuating a problem. In this case I suspect the gene pool is too small to breed really healthy birds.

I don’t blame you, and I wouldn’t either after your experiences with them. They are beautiful, but beauty isn’t all that matters. I personally look for hearty chickens for myself.
There is a genetic flaw here, I think.

So I thought I’d post this here on Ribh’s thread as that’s where a lot of the creative stuff appears. A while ago I posted on Bob’s thread that I had gone back to drawing, but the perspective was out. I got an easel for Christmas and bought myself some canvases (which I have not worked with before so that was a new experience). I want to do a series of tasteful nude portraits, with a view to displaying them somewhere. I finished the first one the other night and I’m really happy with how it turned out. I’ll stick it behind a spoiler for those who nudity in not their thing.

I’m finding it a cathartic experience, which is something I really need right now.
