So cool!Good evening folks
ACM it's been a few decades ago, but I got to witness the surgery you had, so that I could understand the importance of the tools used. I found it fascinating and continued buying the tools the surgeon liked.
Emergency waiting rooms are really not relaxing places. I commiserate Alex.I hated sitting the emergency room too! I was in hospital for several days. Problems breathing.. Hospital tax:View attachment 2967602
Thanks! What are we all talking about?
and dogs and surgery!Chickens (and cats).
I know right? Completely unbelievable. My only problem is that I feel so normal I might try to do too much and hurt myself! It's amazing really. In the old days you'd have a huge surgical wound!
What a brilliant system! My approach is to write a little, often.
Ideally, twice every day I'd write a little with the readings handy. Hopefully that way I get 3-4 hours of writing in every day. But of course, sometimes meetings and other commitments get in the way.
When I'm reading, I print the paper off and write notes all over it. I also have a colour-coded sticky note system for when I read longer pieces like books: red sticky note for questions raised, green stick note for excellent things, yellow for my own ideas that crop up. Highlighter pens are also super handy for remembering great quotes and key points.
And every day I use EndNote with Word to keep all the references neat and tidy. it took me a while to learn how to use EndNote but it pays off over and over again.
I'm a big fan of osmosis...Osmosis does work!![]()
No worries! I'd be honoured. What a brilliant system!
I may ask you to mentor me if I ever take up formal studying again.![]()
