Ribh's D'Coopage

Having decided I'm not the ogre from hell, I am getting a lot of firsts from Beatha.
It is so special when a hen finally decides to trust you.
So, as I was rounding the girls up tonight because it is wet & freezing cold, Beatha was doing her in, out, in out thing when all of a sudden she squatted @ my feet. I was so shocked I nearly stepped on her but managed to bend down & give her a good rub~a~dub~dub. She waited patiently & really seemed to enjoy it. As she's one hen I've never really been able to handle this is huge for her & me. Even Ha'penny is easier to handle than Beatha has ever been. Not sure what's brought about this massive change of heart.

Hormones? 🤣

Oh no! That's awful. Are you ok? Is there an update?
Oh no! My close friend’s cat started havibg seizures. She’s on meds and doing great now. How did it go at the vet?
Oh no! I am praying for you both. :hugs :hugs
Thank you everyone. :hugs She had a blood test to see if it’s her kidneys, liver or thyroid. If it’s cancer the test won’t pick it up. She wandered around when she got home and did have something to eat. She doesn’t seem to react when I speak to her and when I picked her up and put her on my chest, she didn’t stay there. She curled up on the couch and had a sleep.

It was very scary. My son called me in a panic; she was on the floor, curled up but twisted at the same time and jerking violently. It went on for a few minutes, then she stopped and was making a weird meowing noise. She was salivating everywhere, then when she got up, she seemed not to have the use of her back legs for a bit. Then she started walking around. I had called the vet whilst she was fitting, so took her straight down. I don’t think she’s going to be with us for much longer. :hit

Hubby dismantled the cat tree in case she has another seizure and falls off it.
