Ok @WhoDatChick those are amazing pics! Have I ever mentioned you’re from one of my absolute favorite states? Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, and Texas! I still have to visit Louisiana and Texas... awwww heck I want to see your whole country, more or less... not so much the big cities, but wow! I love the cottages up on stilts, I bet you get to see cute little alligators too even! They are so adorable when they are little!

I didn’t really get many good photos of chickens today... I was too busy ogling them, and the cows... the llamas were a little standoffish. Best in Show went to a white Chantelacer for large fowl and a modern game bantam that was one of the tiniest chicks I’ve ever seen. It was smaller than the quail! I did get a pic of it’s sibling though, those are like 1” gaps in the show cage!

It was a long hot day, but really fun. Especially watching the steers and cow calf pairs being shown and judged. Now I really want to halter train my little cows!

Several of the llamas actually looked like they wanted to bite... so it wasn’t too hard to resist them. The Farm had one once, during the year that the “pet” wolf escaped. They do make great flock guards, she even “guarded” the ewes from the attentions of the rams, and there were very few lambs that year!

I will say I was a bit tempted by a breeding pair of pheasants. The male was so colorful, but at $100 they seemed a little rich for my blood. I guess I’ll just have to keep Chickie Hawk and his friends around for visual “yard candy”

Oh my gosh.. those pumpkins!!! Prolly feels like fall there already!

It was 28 Celsius and fairly humid, so it still feels like summer to me. But we have had an unusually cool and wet August for the most part.

Haha! Come on down! And yes.. I’m on the lookout for a baby alligator.. we had one growing up and I’d love another... my oldest boy snatched one right out of the water last year but it was about 2 to 3 feet so too big to keep.. I’ll tell him to send me the pic.. but the big ones swimming around make us nervous with the dogs.. we really have to watch out for them as the Boykin will jump off the boat and swim away

Growing up it was sharks. They love dog meat & any mutt silly enough to jump in the water off a boat was more than likely to be snapped up for dinner.

Sharks terrify me! Even more than crocodiles and alligators... they are just so primal minded! Reptiles I can understand better. Keep the fur babies safe and on dry ground.

Scary! I’m not really a dog person, and forget they tend to do things like that! We have issues with sea lions, seals, and otters in that regard here, but only with fairly small dogs.

I was totally in love with the babies at gatorland, which I dragged my hotel buddies and Andrew to on our road trip from Orlando to Atlanta for our nerd conventions. I was this* close to sneaking one into my purse!
