Thanks, Nancy. I expect all will be well. Just have to wait now until she can make contact again. I've told her lots of pictures. I've always wanted to go to Hungary but when we were in Europe it was still an Eastern Block country & pretty closed to the west.

Yes, MJ, she's headed for Budapest. I admit to some envy. I grew up on Kate Seredy [lovely pictures of chickens too! ] & my prayer partner when I was in Bible school was a Hungarian so... lots of good thoughts & feelings about Hungary.

Most of Europe is stable though. Hungary has been rock solid for a long time.

My friend has just returned from a couple of months in Hungary visiting family ~ & according to her, stable Hungary is not. There's a lot of political unrest, a lot of dispute about the closed borders, a lot of unrest about Islamics ~ because Hungary was under the ottoman thumb @ one time & people are antsy... but none of it is making our news. I do wonder what our news media thinks it is doing these days. I don't even know who Kim Kardishan is [don't what to know either] but she pops up everywhere while I'm grubbing to get any reliable information on Chile ~ or Hungary or a dozen other places of interest.

Hmm, it's not very stable where I live.
Then there's Brexit.
