Ribh's D'Coopage

Good morning folks!

It's been a very busy few weeks here for me. I had my MRI and was called in to go over the results. My brain shows no abnormalities, but my spinal cord has an issue. There is a linear "lesion" from C6 to C7. What this means, we aren't 100% sure. There are a few different things to cause this, MS is one, inflammation is another, so are a few other diseases I don't even want to think about.

I'm going in for a spinal tap on January 3rd. Hopefully I'll have more answers after that. My neurologist is wonderful! She added me into her schedule and then still spent 45 minutes with me. We really aren't sure what's going on and thankfully she doesn't want to just throw a bunch of medication at me with out knowing what it is.

Rich took Mason deer hunting for the first time on Saturday. They were getting ready to pack things up when Mason saw a doe. Rich helped him steady the gun and Mason pulled the trigger! He landed the perfect shot and she went right down, no suffering. They were both so tickled pink!

I made the picture small so hopefully it doesn't upset anyone. We are very thankful for this deer and the meat is in the freezer. The chooks even got some scraps, they loved it too!

I must be doing something right with my girls, I'm getting a dozen eggs every 2 days right now! I've also discovered that Ginger is an Olive Egger!

I was actually able to catch the sunrise the other morning, I'm usually driving when the sun comes up.

Everything was covered in the soft pink glow and it was just beautiful. Even the chickens were quite that morning.

I hope everything is going well for y'all!

What a beautiful set of eggs you are getting now. That's great.

I'm glad Rich is passing on hunting to the next generation. We have fewer hunters every year in PA. Some day the deer are simply going to over run the state. Will they stop there or will they keep hunting to try and get another?

I'm glad you have such a great neurologist. It seems like you are closing in on the cause. Our prayers are with you that it is soon.

In the midst of soaring temps I got the best possible news: Tuppence is back on the lay!

I only have 2 white layers so 2 white eggs is conclusive. :)

And someone is laying bi~coloured eggs.

They might go out again this weekend depending on the weather. We don't have a large freezer so we'd have no place to put much more. They both can get bucks yet, but I don't know that they will.

MORNING FOLKS, it is 6:20 am here and 14.5F above ZERO
That is too cold for me, Nancy. I prefer my climate temperate ~ no extremes either way. :)

My brother & his family visited Japan when their oldest graduated High School. They too loved it. :)

Yay for tuppence!! Back on the lay, what a champ!

Hooray for Tuppance! Way to go girl. :clap

I'm just really happy I figured out what was going on before things got dire ~ & that she has bounced back so quickly. I'd like her to put on a little more weight :hmm ~ but she is a great forager & usually very active.
