Ribh's D'Coopage

Oh dear. I hope you are both okay. Did she flap?
No. She was fussing about going on the roost & I got tangled round my own feet.:gigI don't have a huge amount of space but it's adequate so long as no~one's initiating a flea circus!

Good morning folks :frow

She's @ it again!
All fluffed up & no chicks to raise.
She's still laying so for the time being she is being let go.

Last night both Hepzibah & Soda were in nesting boxes. *sigh*
To get them on a roost I have to lift them off the nest & walk round the outside of the coop before I can deposit them on a roost where they belong. Hepzibah, who is lighter & far more docile, went complaining but without a hitch. Soda put me on my back in the pen. Ouch. Glad neither of us was really hurt but, oh, how I dislike a feisty broody!
I'm really glad you're both okay.

Shad, they are gorgeous.

Good morning everyone :)

Hope your both okay :hugs
Afternoon, Sue. Are you enjoying your last weekend of freedom or do you have preparation?

I'm fine. A few funny bruises because I fell so as to protect the idiot bird. Would have served her right if I'd squashed her flat!

Jeannie, you might find this interesting, but one of the guys in another thread I hang out in lives in Chile. I don't know why I just made the connection, call it an old brain I guess :old So how's your young'n doing?
She's house sitting for the friend she was a bridesmaid for just after Christmas & about to catch up with her sister @ my mothers. Hopefully she is feeling more settled.

Whereabouts in Chile? I can't imagine anyone keeping chickens in Santiago. It's huge & mostly high rise apartments.

Most people round here start their day early in summer. Just the same this morning's visitor is lucky I wasn't still in my PJs. Mangoes for eggs. :) The man will be happy. I didn't have a full dozen. I've given away heaps this week but we went round to check the boxes just in case the girls had been accommodating & so she could meet the girls who have been supplying her. Lavender got her attention. No~one can believe that girl & it's just as well she's so pretty because she doesn't have the nicest temperament! No eggs but people are always surprised I can keep chooks without them stinking to high heaven!

We have a completely different climate to just about everywhere else in Australia. It's not even much like Brisbane's ~ thank goodness!

It's 23C already but our humidity is @ 77%. Apparently we are expecting a little rain tomorrow. That would be nice. Hoping the southern states also get something.:fl
